Debunking Climate Myths on Twitter (X)
Learn how spreading climate change truths by Polestar, an electric performance car brand, helped them reach over 3.5m unique users and achieve engagement rates 10 times higher than industry benchmarks in just under 3 weeks.
THE GOAL
Educate and raise awareness about EV myths and climate change around COP28.
THE BRIEF
Undertake dedicated community management to challenge common misconceptions about climate issues at a vital time.
PAID MEDIA
Alongside the community management, we also managed a paid media campaign to promote climate crisis facts and the role EV’s play in the fight against it.
OUR STRATEGY
Promote 3 ads focusing on climate change myths. We aimed to reach 3M unique users and targeted people aged 25-49. Our geo-target was our 20 priority markets, including the UK and the US.
SOCIAL LISTENING
Utilising our social listening dashboard, we scraped for conversation and responded as the brand throughout the campaign.
OUR STRATEGY
Our course of action involved responding to climate myths and spreading climate change truths. We targeted climate misinformation posts, and our community managers tracked all the replies.
THE RESULT
We reached over 155K users via the @PolestarTruths account. Increased mentions by 124% for Polestar’s main X account.
Engagement rates were 10 times higher than industry benchmarks.
Within 18 days, our campaign earned 58.7K organic impressions.
