GIVING SOUTHERN COMFORT RELEVANCE FOR A YOUTH AUDIENCE
We worked with Southern Comfort across 2022 supporting the brand with social strategy, channel management, content production, paid media, and creator management.
Following a competitive pitch we were chosen by Southern Comfort to redefine their brand for a youth audience on social. We were the first agency to work with Southern Comfort to define their always-on approach to social, curating a more engaging tone of voice and utilising key moments to build a drumbeat of engagement.
We have been tasked with bringing the spirit of the brand, and its New Orleans heritage back to life. Working in partnership with comms agency The Academy we have looked to host events, create content, and lead influencer partnerships that bring the spirit of Nola to life in relevant ways for a UK audience.
We placed Southern Comfort at the centre of club culture curating a group of content creators known as “The Friends of Soco”. Harnessing the creativity and social-first thinking of relevant and diverse creators in branded productions, offline events, and UGC posting.

We were tasked by Southern Comfort to awaken the classic brand to a new youth audience on social media, embodying the infamous Spirit of New Orleans and the brand heritage along the way. Mardi Gras is a key calendar event for the brand and a time they can really take a leading role in the party scene, due to their link to the origin of Mardi Gras - New Orleans.
Our aim was to showcase the Southern Comfort product, brand values and serves, engage and grow a new community of party-goers, engage with relevant & authentic influencers who share the brand ethos and build excitement & drive ticket sales for their Mardi Gras event, hosted at Leake Street Arches.
From ideation to planning, to photoshoots and post-production, we created our ‘In The Krewe’ social campaign which ran from the New Year through to the event at the end of February. Through dynamic TikTok-style reels, stunning and vibrant model content and playful and cohesive cocktail photography, we brought the Mardi Gras spirit to the UK to kick off a new party season with a bang!
